HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SOFTWARE  Wow6432Node  Rockstar Games  EFLC, name it EFLC (I'm running a 64bit OS) then added a new string InstallFolder with "F:GamesGTA 4Grand Theft Auto 4" added as a value .

- Open regedit, (press the WindowsKey+R on your keyboard, type regedit, hit enter)
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  Software  Rockstar Games (Create it if it doesn't exist by using Right Click>New>Key)
- In the Rockstar Games key create the EFLC key the same way.
- In EFLC, Right-Click on the big white pane on the right hand side > point at New > click string value
- Name it "InstallFolder" (without the quotation marks)
- Find wherever you put the main folder, which contains files like data.dll, EFLC.exe, etc.., and copy the location.
- Edit the InstallFolder string value, - Right-Click "InstallFolder" click modify, and set to the location you just copied

For a 64 Bit OS the registry key goes HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE  SOFTWARE  Wow6432Node  Rockstar Games  EFLC (thanks to dutchbastard for figuring that bit)

We would like to explain why our recent Solidshield cracks are not using any
kind of emulator, workaround or protection bypass. As it seems, crackers of
a couple of groups failed to reverse-engineer or understand this awesome
piece of work! To give a quick overview of how we managed to defeat this
protection:
* Created a set of tools which decompiled the solidshield vm into a set of
raw x86 programs (including all stolen functions)
* Stripped all calls to TAGES from those functions and compiled them into
x86 blocks (with relocation info included)
* Created our own "dvm.dll" library, which decrypts those precompiled and
fully reversed stolen functions (they are added as overlay data in the dll)
moves them to alloced buffers, fixes relocations and adds E9 jmps from all
of the protected modules to point to them

to your crackers, but hey - it's all gone now
